Pier cam?

I've been reading whats wrong with the camera but havn't heard anything about it for the past few months. Are you guys still trying to work on it or is it dead for good? I used to use it to check out the waves before I drive 3hrs from Raleigh to come surfing. If you guys finally get it up and running you can link it to other sites such as www.surfchex.com and other surfers will be visiting your site as well. I'm interested in picking up fishing as a hobby and checking out your site is motivation as well. Maybe you can get the cam up, get more visitors to your site, and possibly more visitors to your pier as well. I know you guys are doing what you can. Just let me know if I can look forward to a live cam anytime soon. Thanks!

DirkDiggler, We're glad you enjoy the webcam feature of the site and we're equally pleased to see your interest in an angling future. The webcam feature of our site draws several millions of individual visitors back here through-out the year. The OCP site is linked to hundreds of other websites and enjoyed by a diverse group of viewers from several dozens of countries from around the globe.
The webcam is subject to an occasional server crash or weather related failure, like a lighting strike or power surge. Its worth noting that it has been up and running with-out any issues through-out the latter summer months. If your finding it difficult viewing the webcam I would suggest clearing your browers temporary internet files including your cookies and refreshing the book mark for our site. I hope you find that a satisfactory fix to the issue. Dave OCP/LLC.
