Folks last years 2009 OCP Fishing Club event was successfully concluded and many requests have been fielded that we continue with the annual contest here at the pier. We hope you take advantage of the opportunity to join in on the excitement of a little friendly angling competition during the return of this 2010 event. Bragging rights are included............... Congrats to the winners of the event!
We're excited to announce the 2010 Annual Ocean Crest Pier Fishing Club Contest. It’s simple to join up (See category Fee’s below) , and no other club fees or dues are required. Here's the details on how you may join in and the format under which you'll participate. There will be an informal monthly gathering held at the tackle shop beginning in April and ending in October. These will be held the 3rd Saturday of each month at 12 pm in the tackle shop in order we discuss in public forum the current standing of the angler’s catches and any input relative to the contest such as additional prizes, or specie additions. Our intent is to provide anglers the opportunity to compete in the event on a friendly level playing field and enjoy the rewards of a little neighborly competition.
[How to Join Category Fee’s required per specie.]
There are no additional contest fees outside of the ($10) entry per species of fish categories. Anglers of all ages and skill levels will compete for the pool of collective monies paid by each member to fish and register at weigh-in a particular species of fish. There will be "8" species of fish that you may choose from into which you will pay a separate ten dollar ($10) entry.
