FYI: Folks its been nearly impossible to predict the daily fish bite trends here these past weeks. Anglers aren't tempered as well to the Summer heat and humidty patterns as well the fishes are. The wind directions as of late have been of a bit off considering the opinions of which is best here as well. Never fret though, opportunities have arrisen, and its a reminder to many that fish are born on hot, or wet as well windy days. They eat in those same conditions................They're being caught too!
Anglers these past days have bagged Spots, and added Sheepshead and Black Drum to their supper time menu's. Theres others in the mix too........Summer Flounder, Speckled Trout and Pompano have been added to the continuing late July catch list.
Those anglers fishing the tee end of the pier have participated in mutiple hooks these past days of those favorite Silver Kings aka Tarpon. Its also worthy of note that the winds have subsided a bit in favor of clear water anglers and the Spanish Mackerel have arrived beachside! I'd predict that King Mackerel will make a mid Summer showing soon...................
Check out the photographic evidence of the anglers recent successes in our 2010 OCP Galleries "Catch From the Planks" .
In the mean while an anglers motivations here lies in the fact that ........."Only the Shadow knows" whats in store next. Thats is unless your here fishing sticks in hand. Hurry East Safely ! Dave and Gang
